Career Opportunity at the Foundation for Economic Education ...

FEE is the best source of inspiring content, programs and community for young minds interested in the basics of free market economics and its foundations in the broader philosophy of individual liberty.? FEE is not an academic or political organization; instead our focus is making the economic, ethical and legal principles of a free society widely accessible, easily understood and energizing to young minds. We do this by delivering content that is substantive and thoughtful in forms most convenient to our customers, including in-person seminars and lectures, web-delivered content, printed material in book and magazine form, and networking opportunities.? At FEE, young people?and educators who work with them?will find an exciting and optimistic introduction to the Austrian and classical liberal traditions in free-market economics as well as opportunities to connect with other young people and free-market organizations around the world.

FEE accomplishes this mission through its famous summer seminar program for both college and high school students, the publication of The Freeman online content stream and its associated printed magazine, its about-to-be-relaunched website which will feature daily content, educational resources, infographics, and weekly new videos, as well as constant outreach to campuses, schools, and other events around the country and even around the world.? FEE is always on the lookout for the best content-producing talent anywhere who wish to educate young people in the classical liberal tradition using exciting new styles and formats.

The Foundation is currently searching for an Editor/Director of Content who will be based in Atlanta, where FEE is headquartered, or in a virtual office. Regular travel to the headquarters will be necessary for anyone based in a virtual office.

The Editor/Director of Content will manage the publication of FEE content across all platforms and lead FEE?s ongoing drive to configure our output toward introductory, economic content aimed at 16-24 year olds.? In addition, the Editor/Director of Content will proactively identify the scholars, alumni, students, and others who can write and produce for the broad range of FEE platforms.? The Editor/Director of Content will do this with reference to FEE?s Verbal Identity, which is focused on producing credible, constructive, clear, current, compelling, and conversational content.

This director level position will be the primary decision maker behind FEE?s diverse content; to a great extent, the public face of FEE will rest with the Editor/Director of Content.
